Skyward, announced in November 2023, is the first crash game from BetGames, the Vilnius studio better known for live-dealer and fixed-odds games. Its round results come from a random number generator reported to be independently certified, not from a provably fair system, so there is no per-round hash for players to check. This page explains what that means and where each published figure comes from.

One South African review site gives the RTP as 96%. No other source does, and this site uses BetGames' 97%.

No hash to check: how Skyward's fairness works

Some crash games let you check each round against a seed committed before it starts. Skyward does not work that way. According to Crash Gambling Guru, each round's result comes from RNG software certified by BMM Testlabs, an independent testing laboratory, and the game is not provably fair. We have not seen the certificate itself, and the BetGames pages we could find do not describe the mechanism. One review claims a published hash, but nothing from BetGames supports it.

In practice, trust rests on that certification and on the licence of the casino or sportsbook where you play, not on a check you can run yourself. Ignore any guide that tells you to verify a Skyward server seed.

Inside a round

A plane takes off and the multiplier climbs from 1.00x. You can hold two independent bets, each with its own stake and cash-out, and use Auto Cashout or autoplay. Cash out in time and you receive stake times the multiplier; if the plane flies away first, the stake is lost. Everyone in the round watches the same flight.

100,000x on paper, a cash cap in practice

The 100,000x ceiling limits the multiplier. Operators separately cap the cash a single bet can win: reviews cite $10,000 or EUR 10,000 per round, and the South African operator YesPlay publishes R1,000,000. At larger stakes the cash cap is reached long before 100,000x, so look up the limit at your casino before setting a high target.

What 97% does and does not promise

Over a very large number of rounds, Skyward pays back 97 of every 100 units wagered and keeps 3. Every cash-out target carries the same 3% cost: 2.00x comes up in about 48.5% of rounds and 10x in about 9.7%. "Very high" volatility means long losing runs and rare large wins, not a better return. At high stakes a cash cap can also cut the payout of extreme targets, which lowers their return a little further. The Skyward RTP guide and the calculators put numbers on all of this.

Skyward, Skyward Deluxe and Skyward Storm

BetGames has since added Skyward Deluxe (2025, with free games, leaderboards and community jackpots) and Skyward Storm (2026, with four bets per round). Their features differ from the original, so their RTP and limits may differ too. Read each game's own rules screen instead of applying the figures above.

Where this site's numbers come from

The results, records and dataset on this site are produced by a model of Skyward's published 97% RTP and 100,000x ceiling, not taken from any operator, and the model does not apply operator cash caps. Details are on the methodology page.
